LEARN MORE ABOUT LANTERN AND OUR AIM'S
OUR LEGAL ENTITY LANTERN is a support network for any provider organisation that is a current party in any work based learning contract placed by the Leicestershire Learning & Skills Council regardless of the geographical location of the provider's premises.
LANTERN'S MAIN PURPOSE To support continuous improvement in the quality and performance of Work Based Learning in Leicestershire.
OUR AIMS 1. To continuously support all on - going improvements in the retention, achievement and progression of learners who are participating in WBL. 2. To improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the Leicestershire WBL provider. 3. To improve the effectiveness of recruitment and placement for WBL learners. 4. To facilitate opportunities for interaction and co - operation between all WBL providers in the county. 5. To advise on and support the quantitative and qualitative improvement of provision of WBL for the provider membership of Leicester. 6. To secure adequate funds for LANTERN to operate as a self sufficient, dynamic and supportive organisation for Leicestershire's WBL. 7. To provide a reliable, dynamic, secure, ethical and expert services to facilitate the membership of LANTERN. 8. To generally contribute to the economic development of Leicestershire and the East Midlands region in general.
